Monocouche

Monocouche (meaning one coat) is a low maintenance,  cementitious, one coat, factory blended, external decorative through coloured render suitable for most types of masonry substrates ( brick and blockwork etc) which can achieve a flat scraped or roughcast finish, and is suitable for creating ashlar and quoin detailing.

A single coat render applied in two passes by hand or sprayed by render pump means quicker application with shorter programme periods, reduced scaffolding and site costs, as well as earlier completion. Monocouche renders can rejuvenate existing buildings or provide a high quality finish for new build projects with a durable weather and algae resistant surface while allowing the substrate to breathe. Monocouche renders come in many colours for the client to choose from.

EWI system is a thermally insulated, protective, decorative exterior cladding involving the use of polystyrene, mineral wool, polyurethane or phenolic foam being secured to the exterior walls by mechanical fixings and adhesive, followed by a reinforced cement based, mineral, synthetic or brickslip render finish.  

EWI provides a thermal jacket around the building. Insulation boards come in different thicknesses dependant on what u-value is to be achieved. Good insulation installed to the exterior envelope of buildings reduces heat loss to the outside, thus ensuring considerable cost savings due to reduction in heating and cooling bills. Also it adds extra protection to the building and very low risk of condensation. EWI can be installed to most substrates and comes in many colours/finishes for the client to choose from.

Self coloured acrylic or silicon thin coat render is a wet pre-mixed finish top coat, ready to apply to primed backing renders.

Synthetic thin coat renders produce a decorative flat textured even finish, given by the nature of the raw aggregate incorporated in the blended mix.

Suitable for harsh and exposed areas, synthetic top coats have a excellent all-round weather performance.

Often specified as the finishing top coat in multi layer insulation and cement particle render board systems, however can be applied to traditional floated sand and cement backgrounds.

Synthetic thin coat renders is supplied in many colours for the client to choose from.

Through coloured, factory blended, low maintenance decorative hydraulic lime renders can be applied to new masonry or as a restoration render which can achieve a fine scrape, roughcast or sponge/floated finish.

Lime mortars was the traditional method of rendering in this country and is more commonly used in renovation and conservation projects, however technology of the manufacturers has moved this material forward immensely allowing the material to be included  new build specifications.

Lime renders give fantastic flexibility and is breathable qualities that can prevent problems with moisture and damp issues.
